All Blacks coach Graham Henry makes seven changes ahead of their World Cup clash with Japan.

New Zealand coach Graham Henry has made seven changes to his team ahead of their next World Cup match against Japan on Friday, September 16.

Winger Cory Jane comes in for Isaia Toeava and veteran fullback Mils Muliaina replaces Israel Dagg.

Conrad Smith returns at outside centre, while Ma'a Nonu moves to inside centre in place of Sonny Bill Williams.

Dan Carter’s Crusaders teammate Andy Ellis comes in at scrum-half, replacing Jimmy Cowan.

Adam Thomson returns from injury at number eight, while Sam Whitelock replaces Ali Williams in the second row.

Flanker and captain Richie McCaw will win his 100th Test cap at the game in Hamilton.

New Zealand: Mils Muliaina, Cory Jane, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Richard Kahui, Daniel Carter, Andy Ellis, Adam Thomson, Richie McCaw (c), Jerome Kaino, Sam Whitelock, Brad Thorn, Owen Franks, Keven Mealamu, Tony Woodcock.

Replacements: Andrew Hore, John Afoa, Ali Williams, Victor Vito, Piri Weepu, Colin Slade, Sonny Bill Williams.
