Saracens secured their place at the top of Pool 5 as they beat Treviso 26-20 in a entertaining Heineken Cup match this afternoon.
There were plenty of scores in the opening exchanges and it was the Italian side that crossed the line first courtesy of Robert Barbieri, but Sarries responded with a try of their own through Mouritz Botha.
The game continued to go from end to end as Tommaso Iannone crossed for the Italian hosts before David Strettle replied with a try for Saracens shortly after the interval.
England hopeful Owen Farrell was in fine kicking form as he successfully converted both Saracen efforts.
In-fact it was the fly half's kicking exploits that won Sarries the game in the second period as he kicked four penaties in total to win the English side the match.
Saracens position means they are the only English team to qualify for the quarter finals of the tournament.
