George Kruis pens Saracens contract extension

England second-row George Kruis becomes the latest player to commit his long-term future to Saracens.

George Kruis has committed his long-term future to Saracens by signing a new deal at the Aviva Premiership side.

The England second-row has made 97 appearances for the club since breaking through the academy ranks, and he will remain in place for a while longer yet.

Details of the length of the contract have not been revealed, although Kruis has made clear his intentions to continue his playing career at Allianz Park.

"It's a big moment for me to sign on again. It was a no-brainer to extend my deal," he told the North London outfit's official website.

Director of rugby at Saracens, Mark McCall, added: "George has been in phenomenal form this season for both club and country, and his standing within the group has grown considerably.

"He's only going to get better and better as a player, and we're excited to see him do that here at Saracens."

The news comes less than 24 hours after youngster Maro Itoje himself agreed new terms at the club.
