Toulon too strong for Ulster

Bryan Habana and Delon Armitage both score tries to lead Toulon to a 23-13 win over Ulster in the European Rugby Champions Cup.

Heineken Cup champions Toulon have clinched their second win in the inaugural European Rugby Champions Cup, easing to a 23-13 victory over Ulster this afternoon.

Leigh Halfpenny kicked a couple of early penalties for the French side, but Paddy Jackson found the posts to keep the home side in contention.

However, Bryan Habana benefited from a Juan Smith offload in the final moments of the first half to race over for the first try of the game.

Toulon continued to look the stronger of the two sides early in the second half, and eventually they extended their advantage when Delon Armitage picked off a Nick Williams pass before running it all the way back for a try.

Ulster did finish the match strongly, with Craig Gilroy adding a consolation try moments before the end, while Habana finished the match in the sin bin after a deliberate knock out, but it was not enough for the hosts to avoid the defeat.
