Sam Warburton has admitted that he faces a race against time to be declared fit for Wales's Six Nations clash with Scotland on Sunday.

The Wales captain missed the second half of his team's thrilling 23-21 victory over Ireland yesterday with a dead leg.

"These things react differently in the next 24 to 48 hours," Warburton said. "It is only a dead leg, nothing severe."

"It eased off a bit but I took another blow in the same area just before half-time and it got too bad to continue.

"It is too early to tell if I'll be ready for Scotland."

Wales are also currently without forwards Gethin Jenkins, Matthew Rees, Alun Wyn Jones and Luke Charteris.
