Bronte Campbell: 'I can't believe I won World gold in 100m freestyle'

Australia's Bronte Campbell admits that she "can't believe" that she has beaten her sister Cate Campbell to win World gold in the 100m freestyle final.

Australia's Bronte Campbell has expressed her disbelief after coming out of her sister Cate's shadow to win gold in the 100m freestyle final at the World Championships today.

The 21-year-old touched the wall in 52.52s, a personal best time for the swimmer, to beat Sweden's Sarah Sjostrom and Cate Campbell.

"I can't believe it," Bronte told Eurosport. "That was a stacked final. I can't believe I managed to get my hand on the wall first. I normally go out really hard so I'm just glad I got to hang on. It's my fastest time ever, I'm really happy to put a good race in the final."

Australia have won 10 medals so far in Russia.
