England's Aimee Willmott has predicted a close finish in tonight's women's 200m individual medley final.
The 21-year-old, who narrowly missed out on a gold medal earlier this week, progressed from this morning's heat in a time of 2:12.55 minutes.
"I'm really happy with how that race went, I felt quite strong coming down that last 100m," Willmott told reporters. "I know I've got a bit more in the tank than some of the 200m swimmers but it's going to be close tonight.
"The girls in this event are really strong, I'm going to aim for a medal tonight, I would be really happy with that, because I've not really focussed on the 200m at all."
Willmott finished second in heat four, narrowly behind Australia's Alicia Coutts.
