Siobhan-Marie O'Connor praises "talented" Adam Peaty, Ross Murdoch

Siobhan-Marie O'Connor tells Sports Mole that she believes Adam Peaty and Ross Murdoch to be two of the "most talented" swimmers that she's ever seen.

Siobhan-Marie O'Connor has admitted that it is "crazy" to see how quickly her fellow British swimmers Adam Peaty and Ross Murdoch have improved over the last year.

Peaty, 19, won two gold medals at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games this summer and broke two world records in the 50m breaststroke and 4x100m mixed relay.

Scotsman Murdoch also impressed earlier this year by beating fellow countryman and favourite Michael Jamieson to 200m breaststroke gold at the Commonwealths.

"It is really exciting," O'Connor told Sports Mole. "It's very strange because Adam and Ross are two of the most talented swimmers I've ever seen and they've come on leaps and bounds - it's crazy to think that they weren't even at London 2012 and now they're ranked one in the world a year-and-a-half out [of the Olympics].

"It's great to see, it's definitely been such a good year for British Swimming. We're very, very happy with how things are going and I just hope that it goes on for the next couple of years."

O'Connor took home six medals from Glasgow, which equalled the record for the most number of medals won by a female athlete at the Commonwealths.
