South Africa's Chad le Clos remains on course to successfully defend his 200m butterfly world title after easing into the final at the World Championships in Kazan today.
The Olympic champion surged ahead in lane one during the first 50m and while stretching away from the field at the midway point, the 23-year-old glanced over to check the progress of his competitors.
After easing up in the final 25m, the South African touched the wall in first place in a time of 1:54.50, but he faces the tough task of beating Laszlo Cseh.
In the second semi-final, the Hungarian finished the race fastest in the field with a time of 1:53.53.
