Novak Djokovic admits that playing against Andy Murray on Wednesday will be "a big challenge".

World number one Novak Djokovic is relishing the chance to take on Andy Murray at the ATP World Tour Finals on Wednesday.

Both the Serbian and the Scotsman won their respective matches on Monday to begin their campaign on a winning note.

"It's always a big challenge playing Andy, we have had some big battles this year," Djokovic is quoted as saying by the BBC.

"He will have a lot of support and I hope we can come up with some very good tennis for all those fans who will be here."

Djokovic also admitted that defeating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in straight sets on Monday was not easy.

"It's really a pleasure to play here once again," said the 25-year-old. "I was really looking forward to it and we always enjoy the atmosphere.

"It's the last tournament of the year so we both wanted to do win. It means a lot, especially here, there are no easy matches and no favourites.

"You just want to do your best and give the crowd something to cheer about."

Murray is currently ranked third in the ATP rankings.
