British number one Heather Watson has revealed that she has a primary goal of reaching the world's top 30 by the end of this year after her first-round win at the Australian Open earlier today.
Watson battled against illness and a one-set deficit to beat Alexandra Cadantu with a credible comeback victory and feels that there is a lot more to come from her this season.
She told BBC Sport: "I just want to work hard every day and do everything I can to be professional and keep climbing the ladder.
"Looking at the rankings I want to aim for at least top 30 this year and get far into these Grand Slams consistently."
The current world number 50 will play Ksenia Pervak in the second round in Melbourne later this week.
