Stanislas Wawrinka crushes Cedric-Marcel Stebe in straight sets in his first-round match at the Australian Open.

Stanislas Wawrinka wasted little effort in disposing of Cedrik-Marcel Stebe 6-2 6-4 6-3 in the Australian Open.

The Swiss capitalised on the German's erratic serving in the first set, breaking twice before eventually claiming it in just 28 minutes.

Stebe improved in the second set, but struggled to cope with Wawrinka as the 15th seed got his trusty backhand firing.

Wawrinka struck three clean winners to leave the 22-year-old staring down the barrel of another first-round exit.

The 27-year-old set up six break points in the third set, but needed just one to put Stebe out of his misery and out of the tournament.
