Novak Djokovic breezes into quarter-finals

Novak Djokovic sweeps past Pablo Carreno-Busta at the Monte Carlo Masters, dropping just one game on his way into the quarter-finals.

Novak Djokovic dropped just one game as he booked his place in the Monte Carlo Masters quarter-finals this afternoon.

The world number two beat Pablo Carreno-Busta 6-0 6-1 in just 48 minutes.

Djokovic started in good form, rarely needing to find his best tennis as he cruised through the opening set in just over 20 minutes.

There were a couple of occasions when his Carreno-Busta managed to get to 15-30 on the Djokovic serve, but the second seed simply moved up a gear and powered through his opponent.

The underdog started the second set in slightly better form, forcing Djokovic to deuce on one occasion and then finally holding serve to make it 3-1.

He surrendered easily after that though, failing to win a single point in the final three games as Djokovic sprinted towards to finish line and into the next round.
