British number two Laura Robson has insisted she has shaken off the chest infection that has plagued her since last summer and returned to full fitness.

The illness blighted the 19-year-old's recent campaigns in Doha and Dubai, but a new course of anti-biotics has left her feeling "as good as new".

ESPN quotes her as saying: "I'll be fine for Indian Wells (BNP Paribas Open) next month.

"I've had another course of antibiotics - stronger stuff - and I'm as good as new. It's always tough playing when you're a bit ill but it was my decision to play."

Robson had been carrying the chest infection since London 2012, during which she secured silver in the mixed doubles alongside Andy Murray.
