Teymuraz Gabashvili's retirement early in the second set of his Indian Wells Masters match against Richard Gasquet has seen the Frenchman move into the third round.
Gasquet was dominant in the opening stages, breaking his opponent at the first opportunity.
Gabashvili was unable to find a way back and eventually lost the first set 6-0.
Gasquet then continued his strong play in the second, but at 2-0 ahead, his Russian opponent was forced to retire.
