Rafael Nadal has said that he is happy with his performance during Wednesday's win over Alexandr Dolgopolov in the second round of the Shanghai Masters.
The newly-crowned world number one saw off the Ukrainian 6-3 6-2 with an hour on the clock.
The Spaniard was playing his first match since Sunday's straight-sets defeat to Novak Djokovic in the final of the China Open.
"I think I played a good match," Nadal told the ATP's official website. "To win against Dolgopolov the way I did is because I did a lot of things well.
"The serve worked great. Something that didn't happen last week. That's a very important thing."
Nadal will now face Argentine Carlos Berlocq for a place in the quarter-finals.
