Djokovic 1-0* Del PotroDjokovic loses the first point, but keeps his composure and comfortably holds to 15.

1.16amThe Argentinean has won the toss, he will receive first. Interesting tactic. Here we go...

1.14amDjokovic has only spent six hours on court so far this tournament, while Del Potro's match time is close to 12 hours.

1.13amLet's not forget that Del Potro is also a former US Open champion. The 23-year-old beat both Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer on his way to the Flushing Meadows title in 2009.

1.10amThe players have made their way onto court and are warming up.

1.05amAt 6ft 6in tall, funnily enough, his serve isn't bad either!

1.04amAlthough the Argentinean has lost five of his seven meetings with 'The Joker', he has one of the best returning games in the men's game right now.

1.03amDjokovic - the current world number two - is the odds-on favourite to retain his 2011 US Open title. Many have dismissed the challenge of Del Potro, but that is a very foolish thing to do.

12.59amThat was painful. Now for the real thing. Djokovic and Del Potro are expected on court in the next 30 minutes.

12.56amThe match finishes amid reasonably amusing scenes as the players decide to run from one side of the court to the other, swapping partners after each shot. The ball eventually lands dead on the side which is occupied by the two 'celebrities'. Sandler/McEnroe are announced as 3-1 winners.

12.52amKevin James - the fat one - plunders a scooped forehand 12 feet wide and screams "challenge". It wasn't funny the first time.

12.50amSandler holds to 30. He and McEnroe lead 2-1. Don't worry, this will be over soon.

12.47amAdam Sandler to serve...

12.45amOne game all. Courier holds to deuce.

12.42amTeam Sandler take the opening game to deuce.

12.41amThis is making dreadful viewing. Not particularly amusing and spectacularly uncompetitive. It is worse that Jack and Jill!

12.40amTwo cheap points see Sandler and McEnroe take a comfortable lead. However and double fault and a James smash level it up at 30-30.

12.38amFirst to three games wins, McEnroe to serve...

12.37amMeanwhile Adam Sandler will team up with John McEnroe - neither of whom need any introduction.

12.35amKevin James, who stars in the sitcom King of Queens will be partnered by four-time Grand Slam champion Jim Courier.

12.33amHowever, believe it or not, before the REAL action continues on Arthur Ashe Stadium we have a celebrity doubles match involving American comedy duo Kevin James and Adam Sandler.

12.32amIf it is half as good as the match we have just seen then we are in for a treat!

12.31amRobert Summerscales here to guide you through Novak Djokovic's quarter-final encounter with Juan Martin del Potro.

11.54pmAnyway, that's all from us for now but be sure to join us for that other quarter-final in the wee small hours of the morning. It's sure to be a cracker so I suggest you either have a nap or put on some nuclear-strength coffee. Either way we hope to see you later.

11.53pmThe pneumatic Spaniard will now meet the winner between defending champion Novak Djokovic and Juan Martin Del Potro.

11.52pmFerrer: "I'm very happy. It was an emotional match.

"It was a really, really tough match. Janko is an amazing player."

11.50pmWe can safely file that one under 'matches of the tournament'.

11.49pmWow. Just wow. David Ferrer finally comes through the tie-break 7-4 after Janko Tipsarevic finds the net with a backhand. The Serb gave his all out there but sometimes that isn't enough against Ferrer.

11.48pmGAME, SET AND MATCH! Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 7-6(4) Tipsarevic

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 6-6 TipsarevicFerrer whacks his 15th ace of the contest to hold which means that we'll have a fifth set tie-break. The fans are on their feet and so they should be. This has been phenomenal.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 5-6* TipsarevicFerrer finds the net with a backhand and Tipsarevic has the hold. The Spaniard will now serve to stay in the US Open. The tension has been ramped up.

11.30pmAnd the crowd are really into this one now.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 5-5* TipsarevicWonderful from Ferrer. That game was full of tension but the Spaniard turns around a 15-30 deficit to hold.

11.25pmLet's just say that Tipsarevic looks to be moving around just fine right about now.

11.24pmHowever, there are some concerns that Tipsy was employing some gamesmanship there to upset Ferrer's momentum. Hmmm...let's hope that's not the case.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 *4-5 TipsarevicYou have to applaud the guts of Tipsarevic. He had his thigh bandaged up but came back on court 15-40 down before holding.

11.22pmAnd the one after that. Deuce.

11.21pmTipsy's okay. In fact he comes back on and wins the next point.

11.19pmTipsarevic has called on the trainer. Nobody's sure if it's cramp or a pulled muscle. Drama on Ashe.

11.18pmWow. Ferrer shows some rock-solid defence before winning the point and bringing up two break points. Tipsarevic is on the ropes.

11.15pmThey've now been playing for four hours. Hats off to these two, it's been an incredible match.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 4-4* TipsarevicFrom 4-1 behind, Ferrer pulls it back to 4-4. The Spaniard looks to be in the ascendancy now while Tipsarevic appears to be waning.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 *3-4 TipsarevicBREAK BACK! Tipsarevic hits long and Ferrer has the break! The Serb seemed a little angry after his fall in the previous game and he's now loosened his grip on this thrilling contest.

11.08pmNow then, Ferrer makes the lob and brings up two break points...

11.07pmFerrer is still scuttling around the court with lightning-quick pace and hits a clean winner to claim the first point on the Tipsy serve. Great stuff.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 2-4* TipsarevicFerrer holds, but Tipsarevic slips on game point and everyone is slightly concerned. He gives a thumbs up to signal that he's okay but that looked like a nasty one.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 *1-4 TipsarevicAn eighth ace gives Tipsarevic the hold and a 4-1 lead in this final set. He's looking comfortable out there at the moment.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 1-3* TipsarevicFerrer finally gets on the board with a love game. He's still just the one break behind Tipsarevic.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 *0-3 TipsarevicTipsarevic holds but not after Ferrer has some strong words for the umpire. The Spaniard was unhappy with a call that didn't go his way at 30-30. He had the chance to challenge but chose not to for some reason. He's now 0-3 down and it looks to be a long way back for the fourth seed.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 0-2* TipsarevicBREAK! And he's got the break! Tipsy moves to the net with intent and finds the volley. Good, dynamic play from the Serb that puts him on top in this fifth set.

10.44pmTipsarevic fires home the smash and brings up the break point. That wasn't the smartest drop shot from Ferrer.

10.40pmThese two have now been out there for three hours and twenty-five minutes.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 *0-1 TipsarevicFerrer will be cursing himself for throwing away those two break points as Tipsarevic holds with a neat sliced drop shot.

10.37pmFerrer has two break points but wastes them both. Deuce.

10.34pmTipsy had some treatment on one of his feet during the break and now looks to be limping slightly. Still, he goes on to win the point in another cracking rally.

10.32pmTipsarevic to start this fifth and final set.

10.26pm"Isn't this what they paid for?" once asked Jimmy Connors on this very court. "This is what they want!" Ferrer holds to love and we'll have a fifth set in this riveting contest.

10.25pmSET! Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 6-3 Tipsarevic

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 *5-3 TipsarevicBREAK! Tipsarevic can only hit the net following yet another thrilling rally so Ferrer will serve for the fourth set.

10.21pmIt's another wonderful rally and Tipsy hits wide to bring up another break point for Ferrer, who's grunting a lot right now.

10.20pmAnother ace gives him the advantage, but a poor forehand into the net makes it deuce for the second time in the game.

10.19pmBut he saves it with an ace that clips the line.

10.18pmTipsarevic goes wide with a backhand and brings up a break point for Ferrer...

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 4-3* TipsarevicFerrer still scrapping away at the back of the court. He forces Tipsarevic from one corner to the other before unleashing a volley that gives him the hold. Which way is this one going? Your guess is a good as mine.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 *3-3 TipsarevicIt's a love game from Tipsy now to make it 3-3. His levels have dropped marginally but he's still playing out of his skin.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 3-2* TipsarevicTextbook Ferrer in that game. He was 15-30 down but scrapped his way throught to hold, much as Tipsarevic did in the previous game. Neither man giving this one up easily.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 *2-2 TipsarevicTipsarevic was 0-30 down there but he fought back to hold. This one is getting more tense by the minute.

9.59pmTipsarevic, by the way, is looking to reach his first ever Grand Slam semi-final. Ferrer has reached the last four in Australia, France and here, the USA.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 2-1* TipsarevicIt's a 14th ace from Ferrer that brings up the hold of serve. That game could prove pivotal.

9.54pmFerrer digs himself out of a hole there by saving two break points. Deuce.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 *1-1 TipsarevicIt's not quite as routine for Tipsarevic, but the Serb manages to hold.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 1-0* TipsarevicFerrer starts this set with a solid hold of serve.

9.45pmThis has been a great match but you wouldn't be able to tell from the reaction of the crowd on Ashe - they've been quite below par today.

9.44pmIt'll be Ferrer to start this fourth set, a set that the Spaniard has to win.

9.42pmSimple from Tipsarevic as he takes the set with a love service game. The Serb was inspired in that set and has edged closer to a place in the semi-finals. Can Ferrer respond? He needs to be better than what he was in that set if he is to keep his US Open dreams alive.

9.40pmSET! Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-6 Tipsarevic

9.38pmPlay has been resumed and Tipsy will serve for the set.

9.35pmFerrer's getting a bit of medical treatment now. It looks to be an issue with his foot, but nothing too serious.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-5* TipsarevicBREAK! And there is the double break. Ferrer is in a bit of a slump right now as he hits his backhand into the net. Meanwhile, Tipsarevic is playing quite phenomenally. He'll now serve for the third set.

9.32pmAnother big moment here as a Ferrer error brings up another break point for Tipsarevic...

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) *2-4 TipsarevicTipsarevic gets the hold and moves 4-2 ahead in this second set.

9.28pmTipsy pulls out another ridiculous shot after Ferrer plays the drop shot. The eighth seed seems to be playing well above his normal level at the moment.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-3* TipsarevicBREAK! The Serb then returns Ferrer's serve with a backhand winner down the line to bring up the break. That was easily the best game that we've seen in this contest so far. Both men are really fighting out there now.

9.24pmAnd that's swiftly followed up by another similarly amazing point which is won by a Tipsarevic smash.

9.23pmWhat a point. The pair scrap and scramble across all four corners of the court before Tipsarevic rips a backhand winner down the line. Point of the match and we're back to deuce.

9.21pmTipsarevic not giving this one up easily as he brings it to deuce.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) *2-2 TipsarevicIt's too good from Tipsarevic. A dynamic backhand sees him hold comfortably. Looks like that argument with the umpire didn't stay in his mind for long.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 2-1* TipsarevicWhen play resumes, Ferrer belts down another unstoppable serve to give him the hold. I wonder if that little delay will play on Tipsarevic's mind...

9.10pmTipsy's having a bit of a row with the umpire now over a line call. Looks like they've resolved it though.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) *1-1 TipsarevicTipsarevic does it the hard way, but manages to hold nonetheless. Ferrer still battling away like a deranged beaver.

Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) 1-0* TipsarevicMeanwhile, Ferrer continues to serve strongly as he holds to love once more to get this third set underway.

9.01pmThis will be the first match between the pair that neither has won in straight sets.

8.59pmGet the coffee ready, this could be a long night...

8.58pmThere it is! Tipsy hits a forehand winner into the corner and takes the second set tie-break 7-5. It's worth pointing that the Serb went 2-1 up in that tie-breaker with an outrageous backhand winner which he hit while nearly on the ground.

8.57pmSET! Ferrer 6-3 6-7(5) Tipsarevic

SECOND SET TIE-BREAKFerrer *1-0 Tipsarevic

Ferrer 6-3 6-6 TipsarevicA second consecutive love service game from Ferrer means that we'll have a tie-break to settle this second set.

Ferrer 6-3 *5-6 TipsarevicThat was some game but Tipsarevic finally holds with yet another forehand winner that Ferrer can't get anywhere near. The Spaniard will again serve to stay in this second set. It's turning into a real battle out there now.

8.43pmFerrer squanders another couple of break points and we're back to deuce.

8.40pmAnd he saves the second with a blistering forehand. Deuce.

8.39pmThe Serb saves the first one...

8.38pmBig chance for Ferrer now as a Tipsy error brings up two break points...

Ferrer 6-3 5-5* TipsarevicAbsolutely no problem for Ferrer as he holds to love for the second time in the set.

Ferrer 6-3 *4-5 TipsarevicThat's quite brilliant from Tipsarevic. The Serb whips a stunning forehand down the line to give himself the hold. Ferrer will serve to stay in the second set. Tipsy has been much better this set.

Ferrer 6-3 4-4* TipsarevicFerrer experiences some lukc in that game as an attempted lob comes off the frame of his racket before looping into the back court. He doesn't mind though as he holds again to make it 4-4.

Ferrer 6-3 *3-4 TipsarevicThese two are really grunting out there now. They're involving themselves in some gruelling rallies as the last one comes to an end thanks to Tipsarevic's forehand winner. The Serb holds.

Ferrer 6-3 3-3* TipsarevicNope, it won't be costly. Ferrer is still serving like a fiend and gets the hold thanks to a wayward Tipsarevic forehand.

8.19pmCould that be costly? Ferrer misses a simple forehand at the net and it's deuce.

Ferrer 6-3 *2-3 TipsarevicThat said, Tipsy gets his serve together in that game to hold and go back in front.

Ferrer 6-3 2-2* TipsarevicThe Spaniard's serving is looking extremely sharp today. He holds to love and brings the score to 2-2 in this second set.

8.11pmFerrer's grunting away on the baseline now. It's almost a delayed reaction with the grunt coming a split second after he hits the ball.

Ferrer 6-3 *1-2 TipsarevicFor all of Ferrer's doggedness, Tipsarevic is looking more solid in this set. Following some attritional baseline rallies in that game he holds with a crisp backhand winner down the line.

Ferrer 6-3 1-1* TipsarevicFerrer's serve is in great nick in that game as he holds comfortably to get himself on the board in this second set.

Ferrer 6-3 *0-1 TipsarevicTipsarevic holds but Ferrer made it very difficult for him there. The fourth seed ran around some kind of wind-up toy on the last point, not giving anything up until he hit the net.

7.57pmBrilliant from Ferrer. Tipsarevic covers a lot of ground to play the drop shot but the Spaniard is there in a flash to pke the ball back over the net and past him for the point, 30-30.

7.53pmSET! It took him a while to get going but David Ferrer takes the opening set 6-3 against Janko Tipsarevic. The Serbian initially looked in control only for the Spaniard to get into his relentless groove.

Ferrer *5-3 TipsarevicBetter from Tipsarevic who stays persistent at the baseline before holding. Ferrer to serve for the set.

7.47pmOoh, that's cheeky from Ferrer. He clips a deft sliced drop shot over the net, 15-15.

Ferrer 5-2* TipsarevicDespite a double fault, Ferrer takes his fifth consecutive game. Tipsarevic will serve to stay in this first set.

Ferrer *4-2 TipsarevicBREAK! Ferrer is really starting to motor now. He rips a couple of backhand winners before Tipsarevic hits the net to give the Spaniard the break.

7.39pmBoth men have been working the backhand side so far and Ferrer launches an unstoppable one to take the first point on the Tipsy serve.

Ferrer 3-2* TipsarevicFerrer holds to win his third game in a row. Planty of rallies in this one so far.

Ferrer *2-2 TipsarevicBREAK BACK! It's back on serve in this one after Tipsarevic hits a woeful forehand wide and long.

7.33pmWhoosh. Tipsarevic saves the second with a fizzing ace. Deuce.

7.32pmHe can't take the first though as he hits long.

7,31pmChance for Ferrer now as a Tipsarevic error brings up two break points...

Ferrer 1-2* TipsarevicHe doesn't do it the easy way, but that's more like it from Ferrer. The Spaniard looks more comfortable at the baseline, peppering Tipsarevic with some ferocious forehands before holding.

Ferrer *0-2 TipsarevicFerrer's game is looking a bit ropey at the moment as he makes his fifth unforced error. Tipsarevic goes on to hold and consolidate the previous break. As expected, both men staying well behind the baseline.

Ferrer 0-1* TipsarevicBREAK! The first break point is saved when Tipsarevic shanks a forehand, but he takes the second as Ferrer hits wide. What a start for the Serbian.

7.18pmTipsarevic has two early break points...

7.16pmHere we go the, it'll be Ferrer to start us off in this quarter-final.

7.14pmThe winner of this one will meet either defending champion Novak Djokovic or Juan Martin Del Potro for a place in Sunday's final.

7.09pmHere come the two players as they emerge from the locker rooms to receive a warm reception from the fans on Ashe.

7.05pmFourth seed Ferrer has only dropped one set during this year's US Open, while Tipsarevic has dropped two.

7.03pmThese two have met three times before, with Ferrer holding a 2-1 lead over the Serbian. However, the last time they met was all the way back in 2008 when Tipsy won 7-6 6-2 in the first round of the Beijing Olympics.

6.58pmWhat the prolonging of the mixed doubles final does give me the chance to do is rattle through all my Ferrer/Tipsarevic facts again. (I can almost hear you cheer.)

6.50pmAnyway, what that means is that we'll soon be ready to bring you coverage of David Ferrer's quarter-final with Janko Tipsarevic. And it can't come a moment too soon.

6.48pmPeschke/Matkowski failed to convert two championship points in that one.

6.47pmA thrilling super-tie-break comes to an end when Kveta Peschke hits the net with her backhand to give the team of Makarova/Soares the first title of this year's US Open. And, boy, are they happy.

6.46pmGAME, SET AND MATCH! Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) 1-6 10-12 Makarova/Soares

SUPER-TIE-BREAKPeschke/Matkowski *1-2 Makarova/Soares

SUPER-TIE-BREAKPeschke/Matkowski 1-1* Makarova/Soares

SUPER-TIE-BREAKPeschke/Matkowski 1-0* Makarova/Soares

6.31pmMakarova serves brilliantly to hold which means that we'll have a super-tie-break. To repeat, the first team to ten wins the match, with a margin of at least two points needed between the victors and their opponents.

6.30pmSET! Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) 1-6 Makarova/Soares

Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) 1-5* Makarova/SoaresPeschke/Matkowski save two break points before the Pole fires in an ace to win the game on another 'deciding point'. Makarova will now serve for the set.

6.25pmThose who followed the mixed doubles at the Olympics may remember that a super-tie-break is a simple first-to-ten game, with the winners needing at least a two-point margin ahead of their opponents. They're pretty good fun.

Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) *0-5 Makarova/SoaresSoares holds to love for the third time in the match as this one moves ever closer to a super-tie-break.

Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) 0-4* Makarova/SoaresBREAK! Ooh, that's ugly again from Matkowski. The Pole whacks a volley well long and the team of Makarova/Soares look to be running away with this second set.

Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) *0-3 Makarova/SoaresMakarova/Soares take the game there but only after what is known as a 'deciding point'. With the first deuce coming from Matkowski's forehand winner, the next point decides who wins the game, without the advantage. On this occasion Peschke makes the error to give the opposition the game.

6.14pmMakarova hits a couple of wonderful winners in that game but her team gets the break when Matkowski somehow fails to put away a volley at the net. Remarkable.

6.13pmBREAK! Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) 0-2* Makarova/Soares

Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) *0-1 Makarova/SoaresThe Brazilian holds to love as if it's the easiest thing in the world.

6.09pmIt'll be Soares to open the serving in this second set.

6.08pmPeschke hits a merciless volley between her opponents and that's the first set. Not a classic by all accounts but let's hope it picks up in the second. More to the point, let's hope it's over soon because I want some quarter-final action.

6.06pmSET! Peschke/Matkowski 7-6(8) Makarova/Soares

6.06pmPeschke/Matkowski 9-8* Makarova/Soares

6.05pmPeschke/Matkowski *8-8 Makarova/Soares

6.05pmPeschke/Matkowski *7-8 Makarova/Soares

6.04pmPeschke/Matkowski 7-7* Makarova/Soares

6.03pmPeschke/Matkowski 7-6* Makarova/Soares

6.03pmPeschke/Matkowski *6-6 Makarova/Soares

6.02pmPeschke/Matkowski *5-6 Makarova/Soares

6.02pmPeschke/Matkowski 5-5* Makarova/Soares

6.01pmPeschke/Matkowski 5-4* Makarova/Soares

6.01pmPeschke/Matkowski *4-4 Makarova/Soares

6.00pmPeschke/Matkowski *3-4 Makarova/Soares

6.00pmAs both sides change ends it's already looking like a tense tie-break with plenty of jousting at the net.

5.59pmPeschke/Matkowski 3-3* Makarova/Soares

5.58pmPeschke/Matkowski 3-2* Makarova/Soares

5.57pmPeschke/Matkowski *3-1 Makarova/Soares

5.55pmSo, here's the deal. We're going to dip into the mixed doubles final and see that one out before our quarter-final. Fourth seeds Kveta Peschke and Marcin Matkowski are currently taking on the team of Ekaterina Makarova and Bruno Soares and they're into a first-set tie-break.

5.49pmRight, looks like Ferrer and Tipsarevic aren't going to on court quite just yet. The mixed doubles final is still being played on Arthur Ashe and we're at the mercy of that one before we see the 'Everywhere Man' and Tipsy.

5.42pmAs for the tournament itself, I went for Andy Murray at the start and I'm going to stick with that. Typically, he did it the hard way against Cilic last night but when he's hot he's been looking unstoppable. Federer's departure will also surely help him.

5.38pmAnyway, I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Ferrer will win this one. The fourth seed has got more in the tank than just about anyone and I don't think that Tipsy will be able to consistently compete out in the heat of NYC.

5.34pmWhere Ferrer trumps Tipsarevic for now is his semi-final appearance here at Flushing Meadows in 2007. Tipsarevic has never got past the quarters.

5.28pmTipsarevic's record at the US Open hasn't been to shabby either, dropping only two sets way back in the first round against Guillaume Rufin.

5.25pmFerrer has only dropped one set so far in New York, against fellow scrapper Lleyton Hewitt in the third round.

5.24pmHowever, one would probably have to consider Ferrer as the favourite for this one following what has been a great season for the 30-year-old. He's won five ATP titles (second to Roger Federer this year) and has looked in fantastic form so far at Flushing Meadows.

5.22pmLooking at the first match between Ferrer and Tipsarevic, there is little to tell in the way of history who is going to come out on top here. They've only played each other three times with the Spaniard coming out on top on two occasions. The last time that they faced each other was in 2008.

5.18pmFollowing that in the wee small hours is defending champion Novak Djokovic's clash with Juan Martin Del Potro. What a contest that one could be.

5.15pmSo, that brings us to today and the final two men's quarters. First up is fourth seed David Ferrer as he takes on eighth seed Janko Tipsarevic. Play for that one is now thought to be closer to 6pm.

5.13pmOn top of all of that, Andy Roddick had the curtain brought down on his amazing career after being defeated by Juan Martin Del Potro in their fourth-round encounter.

5.12pmMurray will now face Tomas Berdych for a place in Sunday's final after the Czech stunned everyone by beating world nnumber one Roger Federer in four. Don't even pretend that you saw that one coming.

5.10pmIn the first men's quarter-final, Andy Murray somehow came from a set and 1-5 down to see off Marin Cilic in their encounter on Louis Armstrong.

5.07pmToday sees the remaining two men's quarter-finals played out in the Big Apple following a day of real drama on Wednesday.

5.05pmHello there and welcome to day 11 of the US Open at Flushing Meadows, New York.
