Andy Murray has said that he is anticipating a difficult match when he faces Marin Cilic in the quarter-finals of the US Open.
The British number one, who secured his place in the last eight with a 6-4 6-4 6-2 win over Milos Raonic, holds a positive 6-1 head-to-head record over the Croatian.
However, Cilic's solitary victory against Murray was a straight-sets success at Flushing Meadows three years ago.
"It will be a tough match," said Murray. "I lost against him here in the 2009 fourth round.
"We've played a few times. I won at Wimbledon in out most recent match. If I play a solid match, hopefully I can do it."
Cilic's path to the last eight has consisted of wins against Marinko Matosevic, Daniel Brands, Kei Nishikori and Martin Klizan.
