Norway gold medal winner Emil Hegle Svendsen has insisted that he was confident of gold, despite the photo finish with Martin Fourcade in the mass start biathlon on Tuesday.
Fourcade has two golds already at the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014, but he was edged out into silver in a desperate lunge at the end of the race.
"It might have looked like I could lose gold, but I had good control over him," Hegle told BBC Sport after the race.
"I knew I would get gold. It looked closer than it was. I looked at the finish photo and was surprised how close it was."
Norway are currently second in the medal table behind Germany.
