Matthew Parr to relish Olympic experience

Great Britain figure skater Matthew Parr admits that he will relish every moment of the 2014 Winter Olympics Games as he may only experience it once.

Great Britain figure skater Matthew Parr has revealed that he is ready to live up every moment of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Parr will represent Team GB in the men's short programme, after reaching the Games as the 10th-best qualifier out of 10 nations that will compete in Sochi.

He told reporters: "Realistically it could be the only time I ever get to go to an Olympic Games. I don't think they will kick me out if we fail to qualify.

"I will take it in, see as much as possible, be there to support Team GB in whatever way I am needed.

"Finishing in the top 10 nations in the world was on its own a big achievement for Britain. So, big credit to everybody who helped us get that place. I am very fortunate for that."

The figure skating team programmes get underway later today.
