Piers Morgan admits "conversations" about return to BGT

Piers Morgan admits to having had "conversations" about a shock return to Britain's Got Talent.

Piers Morgan has admitted to holding "conversations" amid rumours linking him with a return to the judging panel of Britain's Got Talent.

The Good Morning Britain host was part of the original lineup - alongside Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell - on the ITV talent show, appearing in the first four series.

Since 2012 Morgan's frenemy David Walliams has occupied a seat on the judging panel, although a report in The Sun today claims that Walliams could be replaced by Morgan in the near future.

Asked about a potential return by Holden on her Heart FM breakfast show, Morgan replied: "As always, if there's enough Aston Martins in it I'll start Monday!"

"It's pretty obvious the golden hour of Britain's Got Talent was when I was a judge with you and Simon.

"We got 20 million viewers for one final. Obviously things aren't quite as strong this year! We need more spice in the pot and, of course, it doesn't get spicier than me.

"Look, let's see what happens. I've had conversations. It's like with bands - the first lineup is always the best!"

Morgan reportedly turned down a guest return to the show earlier this year following Simon Cowell's accident on account of Walliams's continued presence.
