Watch: EastEnders wishes Coronation Street happy 60th birthday

Natalie Cassidy delivers a message from the EastEnders set to Coronation Street ahead of the soap's 60th birthday.

EastEnders has sent a happy birthday message to Coronation Street ahead of the ITV soap's 60th anniversary next month.

The world's longest-running TV soap hits the milestone on December 9 and to mark the occasion, Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler) recorded a video message on the set of the Queen Vic praising an "absolutely fantastic show".

Sharing the video on social media, Corrie's official account also acknowledged EastEnders' 35th anniversary earlier this year, writing: "A huge thank you to our friends over at Eastenders for a lovely 60 For 60 message. It's so exciting to share a big birthday year with you."
