EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt has warned viewers to expect a "bonkers" set of episodes to mark the soap's 40th anniversary.
The show reaches the milestone in February and will mark the occasion with an explosive week's worth of episodes that will include live elements and an interactive storyline with an outcome picked by the viewers.
Recent photos from set have suggested that The Queen Vic will explode at some point during anniversary week and OG cast member Woodyatt - aka Ian Beale - hinted that it is just the tip of the iceberg.
"Expect everything and a lot more! The anniversary week is just bonkers!" he said, in quotes reported by The Sun.
"I think I can safely say for all of us, we picked up the scripts and was like 'What the f***? How the hell are we going to do this?' And we have!
"Obviously we haven't done the live element yet but we've done all the bits leading up to it and it's honestly brilliant."
Outgoing showrunneer Chris Clenshaw added: "I can't say too much. It's explosive, and we've pretty much shot most of it and it's looking brilliant. Expect everything."
EastEnders continues Mondays to Thursdays from 6am on iPlayer and at 7.30pm on BBC One.
