The Mamas 'to compete in Melodifestivalen 2021'

Melodifestivalen 2020 champions The Mamas reportedly decide to return to the competition next year.

The Mamas have reportedly decided to participate in next year's edition of Melodifestivalen.

The three-piece won the competition - and therefore the right to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest - earlier this year with their feel-good bop 'Move'.

Coronavirus led to Eurovision being cancelled, however, meaning that they will have to win the next Melodifestivalen too if they want to make it to Eurovision 2021.

According to Aftonbladet, The Mamas have agreed to compete with a new song and will be joined by fan favourite Dotter, who finished just one point behind The Mamas in 2020.

Melodifestivalen will begin in February 2021.
