Dr Hilary provides update on Piers Morgan

Dr Hilary Jones reveals that Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan "doesn't have symptoms that are normally associated" with coronavirus.

Good Morning Britain's resident health expert Dr Hilary Jones has given an update on Piers Morgan after the presenter missed today's show.

The 55-year-old took to Twitter last night to reveal that he has been tested for coronavirus after displaying a "mild symptom" of the disease, and is expecting the result today.

Prolific tweeter Morgan has not been active on the social media platform since - and will stay off the airwaves until he gets the all-clear.

Jones told viewers: "I spoke to Piers yesterday and he doesn't have symptoms that are normally associated with COVID-19 but as he says, with an abundance of caution, he's taken a test."

Ben Shephard was drafted in to co-host this morning's show with Susanna Reid.
