Piers Morgan explains coronavirus-like illness

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan reveals the symptoms that led to him taking a coronavirus test.

Piers Morgan has detailed the symptoms of the illness that forced him into taking a coronavirus test last weekend.

The Good Morning Britain presenter took the test after developing "mild symptoms" of the deadly disease, although it came back negative.

Nevertheless, Morgan had the entire week off work while he was unwell and has now explained his symptoms to a curious follower on Twitter.

"If you really want to know, I developed shortness of breath, a cough & unusual lethargy - three possible signs of COVID-19," he wrote. "So my doctor told me to take a coronavirus test, which was thankfully negative."

Morgan has confirmed that he will be back at the helm of the ITV breakfast show on Monday.
