Nintendo ramping up Switch production?

Nintendo reportedly order 2 million more units of the Switch console to meet added demand caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Nintendo have reportedly ordered 2 million more Switch consoles to meet the demand caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The console has been difficult to get hold of over the last few months due to the spread of the disease, and the scant stock that remains is being sold with a significant price mark-up.

According to Nikkei Asian Review, Nintendo have increased production of the original Switch model by 10%, equating to an additional 2 million units.

The additional stock will first be made available across Asia in the coming months before rolling out across Europe towards the end of the year.

Meanwhile, the Switch Lite is now back in stock and widely available in the UK, retailing from £199.99.
