Michelle Visage calls for All Stars series of Strictly Come Dancing

Strictly Come Dancing alum Michelle Visage implores the BBC to commission a spinoff 'all stars' series.

Michelle Visage has implored the BBC to greenlight an 'all stars' version of Strictly Come Dancing and has put herself forward for consideration.

The 51-year-old RuPaul's Drag Race star competed in last year's edition of the popular dance contest, finishing in seventh place after nine weeks on the show.

Now Visage thinks that a spinoff series featuring former contestants returning to the dancefloor would be a hit - especially as the competing celebrities would already start off with significant experience under their belts.

"I have not shut up yammering about it, I keep telling the execs this is definitely me, Dr Ranj is on board too," she told the Daily Star.

"Now is the time, we the people that have already done it, know the system, we know what to do - you don't have to worry about teaching us anything new because it's the easiest thing to do.

"Even if it's not this year, it definitely needs to be done because you could do it shorter. You don't have to worry about Blackpool, you could just do it - instead of 15 or 14 couples, have eight couples and make it shorter but it's definitely something I want to do.

"Maybe not now 'cause I can't leave the country but as soon as they go 'Michelle Visage can come over,' they can announce it."

Visage is currently starring in her own lockdown series How's Your Head, Hun?, which premieres on BBC Three via iPlayer today.
