Former Auburn Tigers defensive end Dee Ford has played down the ability of highly-rated Draft prospect Jadeveon Clowney.
Clowney forged a formidable reputation as a pass rusher during his college career with the South Carolina Gamecocks and has been projected as a potential first overall pick in this year's Draft.
However, Ford, also a pass rusher, insists that Clowney's size masks a lack of technique and argues that he is a better player than the man who recently said that he wants to become one of the greatest of all time.
"I'm better [than Clowney]. Let's put it like this. People like to talk about size all the time. Size is pretty much overrated in my eyes. You can look at guys like Robert Mathis, Elvis Dumervil, Von Miller. These are 6-2 guys and under," Ford told SiriusXM.
"People are just looking at the fact that [Clowney] is a physical specimen. Honestly if you watch the film, he plays like a blind dog in a meat market basically.
"I play with a lot of technique. I watch a lot of film. These are the things I do, and it shows up."
Ford has been projected to be chosen in the second round of the Draft, with the 37th overall pick.
