Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has admitted that he felt the speeches made by former teammate Ray Lewis "didn't make sense".
Lewis, who retired following his side's Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers earlier this year, was renowned for making impassioned speeches to his teammates.
Flacco told reporters: "I love Ray, and I love how he always spoke from the heart, but if you listened to those speeches, a lot of them didn't even make sense.
"He meant everything he was saying, but I didn't know what he was talking about 90 percent of the time."
The Ravens begin their regular season campaign against Denver Broncos on September 5.
