New Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak has played down concerns over his health.
Kubiak suffered a scare in November when, still in charge of the Houston Texans, he collapsed while walking off the field at half time having suffered a 'mini-stroke'.
However, having been appointed as the Ravens' new offensive coordinator yesterday, Kubiak insists that he has no worries over his health and is looking forward to being involved in football once again.
"I came out of it fine. I was my old self at the end of the season. I feel great. Looking forward to getting up very early in the morning and going to work again. My wife is tired of me being around the house," he told reporters.
The 52-year-old was also quick to express his delight at his new job, which came 52 days after he was sacked as head coach of the Texans.
"This is the best day I've had in two months. It gives me a chance to be part of a championship organization," he added.
Kubiak will be charged with improving a Ravens offense that was ranked 29th in the league last season - their lowest ranking for eight years.
