The Buffalo Bills have moved to 4-7 in their season as they hammered the New York Jets in their NFL clash at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
The Jets had the opportunity to take the lead early in the game after a drive from quarterback Geno Smith stalled and Nick Folk looked to continue his 100% record this season, but it was broken when he sliced his 48-yard-effort wide of the posts.
Buffalo responded to the miss as EJ Manuel drove his team into scoring position and Dan Carpenter nailed his kick from 40 yards to give his side the lead.
Manuel upped the ante for his side late in the second quarter when he avoided the rush from the Jets and threw the ball deep downfield, where TJ Graham peeled off his man, caught it and stepped into the end zone for a 34-yard touchdown.
It got better for the Bills seconds later when Smith was sacked on his own 20 and he fumbled the ball allowing the home side to gather. Manuel made him pay for the error as he handed off to Frank Summers, who powered over the goal-line for the three-yard score.
Smith made yet another error when he was intercepted by Jairus Byrd, allowing the Bills' offense a chance to put the game out of sight. They were held without a touchdown but Carpenter added another three points before the break.
After half time, the Jets got a score back when Smith engineered a drive downfield and handed the ball off to running back Chris Ivory on the one-yard line; he went in for the score to reduce the deficit to 13 points.
However, the Bills responded with a touchdown of their own. Manuel threw a bomb downfield, and Marquise Goodwin sprinted down the right-hand sideline and caught the ball in stride for the 44-yard touchdown.
Smith committed his third interception of the game as he threw the ball straight to Da'Norris Searcy, who extended Buffalo's lead to 27 points when he ran it back for a 25-yard touchdown.
The Jets replaced Smith with Matt Sims at quarterback and he looked good driving his team downfield before firing to Jeff Cumberland on a crossing on the two-yard line and he walked into the end zone for the score.
Carpenter added another field goal for the Bills late in the game to comfortably secure their win.
