Ron Rivera: 'I think Steve Smith will play'

Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera says that he believes wide receiver Steve Smith will play against the San Francisco 49ers.

Ron Rivera has said that he thinks that Steve Smith will play for the Carolina Panthers tomorrow.

The wide receiver missed the final game of the season with a knee injury and is listed as questionable for the game against the San Francisco 49ers after struggling in practice.

The head coach told reporters: "Until we shut him down because of the rain, he was moving around pretty good. My gut says he's going to play, but it's about how he feels."

After yesterday's practice, Smith said that he felt 89% ready to play.
