Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard scored two touchdowns against one of the NFL's stingiest defences yesterday to help his side to a 22-14 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bernard's second touchdown came when he caught an Andy Dalton pass before running 27 yards into the endzone to score what ultimately proved to be the winning points.
The rookie has revealed that he saw a clear path ahead of him for the score and was determined to take his chance when it came along.
"I saw green grass. Once you see green grass, you've got to take it. You don't get many chances like that. When you do, you've got to take it," Bernard told The AP.
The result leaves the Steelers still looking for their first win of the new NFL season, while the Bengals improve to 1-1.
