Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson has insisted that he will recover from his shin injury in time for the training camp at the end of July.
It was revealed on Wednesday that Richardson's injury was not as bad as first thought, and the player's comments confirm that the second year should make the new season.
"I still expect to be out there on day 1 [of the training camp]," Richardson told the Akron Beacon Journal. "People are saying I've got another injury, and it's farther than what people are saying it is. No, it's not.
"Coach got me out for precautionary reasons. It's nothing that big to worry about."
Richardson carried for 950 yards in his debut season.
