Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that defender Radu Dragusin has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Spurs have fared well after a worrying run of results, securing back-to-back wins over Elfsborg and Brentford in the Europa League and Premier League respectively.
Dragusin picked up the issue in the first of those matches, forcing him off the field at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after just 21 minutes of play.
The Romania international has been a key asset to the squad of Ange Postecoglou during the first half of the campaign, starting 21 of his side's last 23 competitive matches.
Since making the high-profile switch from Italian outfit Genoa to Spurs in January 2024, Dragusin has played on 37 occasions, failing to find the net just yet.

Tottenham provide Draguin update
In the aftermath and enjoyment of back-to-back victories, Tottenham supporters have been served some highly-concerning fitness information as their side's injury woes continue.
Spurs have confirmed that defender Dragusin has suffered an ACL injury, a huge blow to a side who are already struggling massively with a mounting injury list.
The Lilywhites' medical team is now set to complete a full assessment of the issue to determine when the 23-year-old can return to training.
Suffering a serious knee injury, Dragusin is not expected back in action for at least six months, although the diagnosis could be even worse.
Some ACL issues take almost a year to recover from, meaning that the centre-back could be sidelined for a large chunk of the 2025-26 campaign.

Tottenham's injury nightmare
With their first-choice defenders sitting in the medical room, Dragusin and teenager Archie Gray were forced to battle through the festive period for Tottenham.
The injury issues of Draguin will leave Spurs even lighter in their backline, although they managed to bring in a reinforcement prior to the transfer deadline.
Beating Wolverhampton Wanderers to his signature, the Lilywhites secured the services of Kevin Danso on loan from Lens until the end of the term.
