Cleveland Browns cornerback Buster Skrine has insisted that he is getting better mentally, despite regularly being targeted on his side of the field due to teammate Joe Haden's ability.
Skrine said that he has learned not to focus too much on the way each opposing wide receiver plays, but instead believes that they must learn to adapt to the way he plays.
"They throw my way a lot," Skrine told the Browns' official website. "But I take it on as a challenge. "I know more what to expect now. Route recognition, plays on certain downs. Mentally I'm more prepared now than ever.
"If you try and do things differently for certain receivers, you might actually end up switching the way you play. I look at it, that they have to get ready for me too."
Skrine has made 168 combined tackles in his three seasons in the NFL.
