Jason Campbell to start for Cleveland Browns

Cleveland Browns coach Rob Chudzinski reveals that Jason Campbell will be the starting quarterback for Sunday's match against the Kansas City Chiefs, replacing Brandon Weeden.

Cleveland Browns coach Rob Chudzinski has revealed that Jason Campbell will start Sunday's match against the Kansas City Chiefs at quarterback.

Campbell will replace Brandon Weeden as the Browns' starting quarterback after the 30-year-old struggled to make an impact in Sunday's 31-13 defeat to the Green Bay Packers.

The Browns are notoriously inconsistent at quarterback, having had 20 different starters since 1999, but Chudzinski believes that Campbell's leadership and experience will help his side pull off a shock against the unbeaten Chiefs.

"It really is about production and ultimately being consistent in that area. I think looking at Jason, the things he brings to the table [are] his leadership, his experience," Chudzinski told reporters.

"He's been productive and successful in the league. Look at his arm strength, his mobility and those things, [then] tie in from a game-plan standpoint for what we need in this game.

"I'm committed to doing what I feel gives us the best chance to win in all cases."

Campbell will come up against the league's stingiest defence on Sunday, with the Chiefs only giving up 81 points so far this season.
