Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has admitted that he was "relieved" when Tuesday afternoon's trade deadline passed without incident.
Gordon had been linked with a move away from the team for a number of weeks, with the Browns reportedly ready to listen to offers for the 22-year-old.
However, coach Rob Chudzinski had always insisted that no trade was likely to happen, and Gordon was pleased that he stuck to his word.
"Definitely relieved. I wanted to stay here. I didn't feel like uprooting myself and moving and starting all over again," Gordon told reporters.
"I talked to Coach Chud. He just reassured me about it, saying nothing was going to happen. He was right."
The Browns, who have won three and lost five of their matches this season, will face the reigning Super Bowl champions the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
