Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett has insisted that he will not be distracted from his job by ongoing contract talks with the franchise.
The Cowboys have made a 6-1 start to the season but Garrett is currently working in the last year of his current deal, and owner Jerry Jones has yet to start negotiations.
"I just know where I need to focus, where our team needs to focus and it needs to focus on playing our best football," Garrett told the media.
"The way we do that is we focus on being our best today, do a great job evaluating that game, get ready for the players coming in, let's go to work. That's really what I think about."
After being asked several more questions about his future during the press conference, Garrett refused to answer and insisted that he was getting ready for the Washington Redskins in week eight.
