Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett not worried by Dez Bryant threat

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is adamant that he is not worried by Dez Bryant's threat to miss the start of the season because of his contract dispute.

Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett has insisted that he is not concerned about Dez Bryant's threat to miss regular-season matches due to his contract dispute with the club.

The 26-year-old was designated with the franchise tag during the off-season as the Cowboys were not able to secure the future of the All-Pro on a long-term contract.

Bryant revealed his intention to miss the start of the 2015 season if he and the NFC East side had failed to come to an agreement before the July 15 deadline.

However, Garrett is adamant that he is not worried about Bryant's threat because of his love of the game.

He told reporters: "It doesn't concern me one bit. Dez loves football. He has a great passion for the game. He wants to be a great player.

"He wants our team to be great. He's been working every day to do that and we'll take care of the business as we go."

Bryant recorded 88 receptions for 1,320 yards along with 16 touchdowns for the Cowboys last season.
