Dallas Cowboys cut defensive tackle Amobi Okoye

Twenty-seven-year-old defensive tackle Amobi Okoye is cut by the Dallas Cowboys after just 12 months.

The Dallas Cowboys have released defensive tackle Amobi Okoye after one unsuccessful season.

Okoye joined the Cowboys last August, but he failed to make a single appearance.

The 27-year-old hasn't played in the NFL since 2012 after suffering from a life-threatening illness that had caused him to be placed in a medically-induced coma.

He previously spent four seasons with the Houston Texans and two seasons with the Chicago Bears.
