Jack Del Rio agrees new Denver Broncos contract

Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio agrees a new two-year contract with the AFC West side.

Jack Del Rio has signed a new contract with the Denver Broncos, keeping him with the team for another two years.

The AFC champions' defensive coordinator served as interim head coach for a spell during the 2013 campaign while John Fox recovered from heart surgery.

Executive vice president of football operation, John Elway, told The Denver Post: "Jack did a nice job with our defense. We had a lot of injuries on that defensive side and Jack did a good job holding that side together. Even in the Super Bowl, our defense kept us in the game in the first half."

The Broncos finished the season ranked 22nd in the league for points allowed.
