Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe will miss his side's clash with Kansas City Chiefs after the player was admitted to hospital having suffered seizure-like symptoms on the team's bus on Friday.
The Broncos revealed on Saturday that Wolfe's position in the side has now been downgraded to out, with the player being hospitalised.
"Derek Wolfe is alert and recovering in a Denver hospital after experiencing seizure-like symptoms on Friday," read a statement from the Broncos.
"He underwent extensive testing and is now being treated accordingly by doctors, who will continue to monitor his condition."
Wolfe's illness likely means that first-round draft pick Sylvester Williams will continue to get plenty more opportunities for Denver in the coming weeks.
