Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett has expressed his belief that Peyton Manning is the greatest quarterback to have ever played the game.
The question of Manning's legacy was raised for his under-par performance during Sunday's Super Bowl, in which the Seahawks' defense dominated the Denver Broncos' offense on way to a 43-8 victory.
That defeat left Manning with an 11-12 record in the playoffs and a 1-2 record in Super Bowls, but Bennett is in no doubt that the 37-year-old will still go down as the best in history.
"Peyton's still the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. This doesn't destroy his legacy," Bennett told The AP.
Manning was voted the league's MVP for an unprecedented fifth time this year, having set new single-season records for passing yards and touchdowns.
