Omaha pledges $1,500 per Peyton Manning call

The Omaha Chamber of Commerce reveals that it will donate $1,500 (£905) to charity for every time Peyton Manning yells 'Omaha' during the Super Bowl.

The Omaha Chamber of Commerce has revealed that it will donate $1,500 (£905) to charity every time Peyton Manning uses his famous 'Omaha' call during Sunday's Super Bowl.

The city made a similar arrangement for the AFC championship game earlier this month, raising $24,800 (£15,000) for Manning's Peyback Foundation having pledged $800 (£490) per call on that occasion.

Eight businesses were involved in the deal last time, but for the Super Bowl that figure has risen to 15, with the rate still standing at $100 (£60) per business per call.

Representatives of the Nebraska city have already spoken of their delight at the 'free advertising' they receive from Manning's calls, with the veteran quarterback yelling the word 75 times in the playoffs already.

The Broncos will face the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday's season finale.
