Reggie Bush: 'Penalties down to the players'

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush admits that the numerous penalties his side pick up during games are all down to the players rather than the coaches.

Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush has admitted that his side's undisciplined behaviour on the pitch is all on the players and not on the coaches.

The Lions committed several penalties in their defeat to the Baltimore Ravens, which ultimately cost them in a tight game at Ford Field.

Bush told the Detroit Free Press: "Just in our play. It could be from penalties or it could be from turnovers or it could be from how we finished the games in fourth quarters. It's not one specific play or moment in a game.

"It's the total game. It's how we play. It's not a coaches' thing. It's a players' thing. We can do a better job all across the board."

Detroit fell out of the playoff places in the NFC with their loss and are 7-7 going into week 16 of the season.
