Matthew Stafford looking forward to Draft

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford says that he is looking forward to May's Draft.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has admitted that he has taken a keen interest in the Draft and likes to have a good idea as to which players his club are looking to pick up.

Stafford said that he begins to look forward to the Draft as soon as the season is over and could not wait to be able to help the new generation of NFL players.

"I don't know about everyone else, but the second the season is over, I give myself about a week and then I start looking at YouTube clips of guys who are coming out," Stafford told the club's official website.

"I'm always wanting to know who's going to be an available free agent and talking to our front office just trying to get a beat on who's out there and who's a possibility.

"It's kind of fun being on the other end of the stick. This now being my sixth year coming up and being able to help bring along a young guy - I'm looking forward to that as much as anyone else."

Stafford has spent all five seasons of his career to date with the Lions.
