Manchester United have reportedly earmarked Victor Osimhen as one of four striker targets.
The Red Devils started life under Ruben Amorim with a 1-1 draw in Sunday's away clash against newly-promoted Ipswich Town.
The frustrating draw showcased Man United's struggles in the final third, having scored just 13 goals in 12 Premier League matches this season - only Southampton, Crystal Palace and Everton have netted fewer goals in the top flight.
Rasmus Hojlund has scored just one goal in eight Premier League appearances this term, while Joshua Zirkzee has mustered one goal in 12 league matches since he completed a summer move from Bologna.
As a result of his poor form, Zirkzee is already being linked with a move away from Old Trafford amid reported interest from Juventus.

Man United put Osimhen on four-man striker shortlist
A recent report claims that Man United have identified Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface as a possible transfer target.
Boniface has racked up 29 goals and 11 assists in 49 competitive appearances since he joined Leverkusen from Union SG in the summer of 2023.
According to Sky Germany, Man United are considering Boniface as a potential option along with his Nigerian teammate Osimhen.
The report claims that the pair feature on Man United's four-man striker shortlist as the Red Devils weigh up their options ahead of the January window.
Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray after he failed to secure a permanent move away from Napoli in the summer.
The striker's loan deal includes a break clause which can be triggered if any of his potential suitors pay his €75m (£62.6m) release clause.
Osimhen has been in fine form for the Turkish giants, having scored eight goals and provided four assists in 10 competitive appearances.

Who else features on Man United's shortlist?
In addition to Boniface and Osimhen, Man United are also considering Paris Saint-Germain's Randal Kolo Muani and Eintracht Frankfurt's Omar Marmoush as potential targets.
Kolo Muani has fallen out of favour in the French capital and could be available on a loan or permanent deal in the January window.
However, it appears that Kolo Muani is regarded as an alternative option rather than a priority target for the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Man United would face significant competition if they opt to step up their interest in Marmoush, who is said to be a target for Liverpool and Arsenal.
With Marmoush under contract until June 2027, Frankfurt will demand between €50m (£41.7m) to €60m (£50.1m) to part ways with the Egypt international.
