Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh believes that his side had no problems adjusting to the time difference ahead of their International Series clash at Wembley Stadium.
The Lions recorded a dramatic victory over the Atlanta Falcons in the match, but were forced to come from 21 points down to achieve the win after a slow start in the first half.
However, Suh has insisted that their problems were not down to playing at a different time than they are accustomed to, as kickoff took place at 1.30pm GMT, four hours earlier than usual for the players.
He told reporters: "I felt like everybody was adjusted. Just looking at them and watching them and through Friday, Saturday, and even Thursday, especially coming out to practice, we had a great practice.
"Even Wednesday, when it was really tough waking up and just in certain situations. I think we adjusted well. So I don't believe that was the issue."
Detroit are now 6-2 in their season following their victory over the Falcons.
